Spring and Summer Sale March 2 and 3, 2012

Early Learning Center

Early Learning Center (ELC)

Gadsden First United Methodist Church is proud to be the home of a unique pre-school and learning program for children, The Early Learning Center, or ELC. This wonderful Christian educational opportunity for the youngest members of our community is available for Babies, Toddlers, Two Year Olds, 3 Year Old Kindergarten, and 4 Year Old Kindergarten.

Registration and participation in the program is dependent on the space available, and priority is given to members of First United Methodist Church and to currently enrolled children, and siblings of currently enrolled children.

The ELC operates from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday, from August to May based on the school year of the Gadsden City Schools and observes holidays, weather days, and school closings as announced by the Gadsden City School System.

A summer enrollment program is available. Please check with the director for hours of operation and days that school is open in the summer.

For more information, contact Cathy Freeman, ELC Director @ 256-543-9500 or email Cathy @  elc@fumcgadsden.org

Early Learning Center 2013 Mid-term Survey

Dear ELC Parents:

It’s been a wonderful year so far, here at the ELC.  THE ELC Board and Staff would like to thank you for entrusting us with the care and education of your children.  We know our program would not survive without our families.  In order to continue to provide excellent care and education, we are asking for feedback on what has gone well this year but more importantly in what areas we can improve.

In responding to the two simple questions, please feel free to include the areas listed below as well as others not mentioned.  We value your input to helping make our program the best it can be.

                Facility & Security
                Staff
                Drop Off/Pick Up
                Curriculum & Activities
                Special Programs/Performances

We are not asking for names unless you would like to supply it and rest assured all responses will be taken seriously.  Your responses will be tallied by Helene Haller, ELC Board Chair, and submitted to the ELC Board as a whole.  The Board will work closely with the ELC Staff to address and improve on any concerns as well as highlight and continue the good.
