 All leaders and members who attended a previous Serving from the Heart exploration group are invited. 

 What is a small group?

A small group is a great place to meet some new people at Gadsden First, grow in Christ, and share the love of Christ with others. What if I don’t know anything about the Bible?

That’s fine! The emphasis of a small group is application of the Bible, not information. No one has to read aloud or pray aloud if they do not choose to do so. Just come and enjoy!

What’s a small group like?

Group meetings vary somewhat from week to week, and group to group.

Sunday School Classes for Children, Youth and Adults

     First United Methodist Church is blessed with outstanding adult and
     children’s Sunday School classes. There are classes for all ages, and
     visitors are always welcome. Classes begin at 10:00 AM and end
     at 10:40 AM.

                   plus, unite together for singing and study
                  Wesley Fellowship Class— Room #114 — Couples and singles aged
                  55 and up comprise this class of singing and study
                  Trinity Bible Class— Room #119 — This class is open to all senior
                   women of the church and is dedicated to an entire hour- in the study of
                  God’s Word

The Early Learning Center (ELC)

 Gadsden First United Methodist Church is proud to be the home of a unique pre-school and learning program for children, The Early Learning Center, or ELC. This wonderful Christian educational opportunity for the youngest members of our community is available for Babies, Toddlers, Two Year Olds, 3 Year Old Kindergarten, and 4 Year Old Kindergarten.

Registration and participation in the program is dependent on the space available, and priority is given to members of First United Methodist Church and to currently enrolled children, and siblings of currently enrolled children.

The ELC operates from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday, from August to May based on the school year of the Gadsden City Schools and observes holidays, weather days, and school closings as announced by the Gadsden City School System.

A summer enrollment program is available. Please check with the director for hours of operation and days that school is open in the summer.
